چکیده
Introduction: Antibiotic arbitrary use by increasing resistance changed to a growing issue in the 21st century and its optimal hospital could be essential for reducing health system costs drug side effects. Objectives: The aim of this study was investigate pattern antibiotic prescribed prescription. Patients Methods: This cross-sectional that has been done on 300 prescriptions which selected randomly form Ardabil city hospitals. anatomical therapeutic chemical classification with defined daily doses (ATC/DDD) standard measurement method recommended World Health Organization (WHO) conducted study. amount uses rate each medication calculated DDD/100 bed days. Data collected checklist analyzed statistical methods SPSS version 21. Results: highest ciprofloxacin 32% total antibiotics during period 44/95 Bed mean number drugs intensive care unit (ICU) ward more than other wards. However, comparing between wards based ATC/DDD showed infection 62.9 most used 69% Ampule intravenously 64% all Conclusion: results considering studied method, dose hospitalized days were internal surgery respectively but according ward.

متن کاملEpidemiology of Urinary Tract Infection and Antibiotic Resistance Pattern in Patients Referred to Amiralmomenin Hospital of Gerash City in 2018
Background and Aims: Urinary tract infections are one of the most common human infections seen in all age groups and both sexes. Inappropriate use of antibiotics to treat urinary tract infection causes the resistance of the pathogens to the drug. The present study aimed to determine the frequency of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria and antibiotic resistance patterns in patients with uri...

Background and purpose: Descriptive knowledge of the epidemiology of bacteria causing urinary tract infection (UTI) and their antibiotic resistance patterns is of great importance in evidence-based decision-making of physicians and health planners in a region. This study investigated the prevalence and resistance pattern of bacteria isolated from urinary tract infections in Amol, north of Iran,...
متن کاملAntibiotic Resistance Pattern of Gram-Negative Bacteria in Gorgan
Abstract Background and Objective: The excessive use of broad-spectrum antibiotics will lead to drug resistance of microorganism and specially nosocomial organisms. Because of high incidence of antibiotic resistance in hospitals, we aimed to study antibiotic resistance to gram negative bacteria. Material and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on the data of biological sampl...
متن کاملDoes Antibiotic Resistance Evolve in Hospitals?
Nosocomial outbreaks of bacteria are well documented. Based on these incidents, and the heavy usage of antibiotics in hospitals, it has been assumed that antibiotic resistance evolves in hospital environments. To test this assumption, we studied resistance phenotypes of bacteria collected from patient isolates at a community hospital over a 2.5-year period. A graphical model analysis shows no a...
